Tangelia Terrell, is founder and executive director of See Me Worthy. She is a seasoned certified educator and Mental Health First Aid trainer, extends her dedication beyond the classroom. Known as "Docta WorthIt," she is an author and compelling keynote speaker with a remarkable 25-year teaching career. Her mission centers on mental health advocacy, combating stigma, and fostering open dialogue. Tangelia holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction Specializing in Adult Education, and an Education Specialist's degree in Educational Leadership.

As a woman of faith, she navigates her own journey with mental illness, fostering both spirituality and therapy within communities of color. Her firsthand experience underscores the profound impact of mental health issues on families and education. Tangelia passionately advocates for mental health awareness through research, education, and unwavering support, offering hope to those facing challenges within our diverse communities.

After-School Programs:

At See Me Worthy, we believe in tailoring our after-school programs to suit the unique interests and needs of each school. We work closely with Principals and PTSA to align our enrichment programs with your school's culture. We offer certified instructors or help certify your own teachers to run our programs.

Topics covered include positive friendships, handling bullies, diversity, emotions, and more. We provide flexible options like public workshops, after-school sessions, events, and camps. Our mission is to empower girls with essential life skills and self-confidence while fostering inclusivity. Join us for an exceptional after-school enrichment experience for your students.

Workshops for Girls

Our interactive program specializes in nurturing early self-esteem and confidence in young girls. We provide tailored workshops, events, after-school sessions, and camps designed for girls in grades K-12. These programs are offered in various settings, including schools, community centers, churches, non-profit organizations, and summer camps. Our goal is to address the specific challenges and developmental needs of girls in this crucial stage of their growth, fostering self-esteem and empowerment.

  • Our "Embrace Your Uniqueness" workshop empowers girls to embrace their individuality and build confidence. We encourage them to explore their unique qualities through engaging activities, discussions, and a creative art project. By understanding the value of being themselves, girls learn to accept and appreciate their differences.

  • In our "Girl Power and Goal Setting" workshop, girls learn to set goals, aspire to be whatever they want, and defy limitations. We emphasize that being a girl is a source of strength. This 1.5-hour workshop includes activities based on "How Full Is Your Bucket?" to promote positive interactions, kindness, and self-empowerment.

  • Guide girls in selecting positive role models during our 90-minute workshop. We explore the characteristics of great role models, why they matter, and discuss personal role models to inspire positive choices.

  • Foster positive friendships and equip girls with skills to navigate challenges in this 90-minute workshop. Topics include qualities of good friendships, handling exclusion, understanding friend behavior, and addressing bullying.

  • Enhance confidence and social skills with Girls With Manners, a 90-minute workshop covering introductions, handshakes, respectful behavior, power words, and table manners. Encourage respectful interactions and problem-solving.

  • Girls With Faith is a 90-minute bible-based workshop focusing on faith in God, Jesus Christ, prayer, and building strong self-confidence through belief. Explore the importance of faith in self-esteem.

  • Discover the essence of Girl Power in this 90-minute workshop. Girls define Girl Power, discuss its benefits, explore situations where it's challenged, and identify their individual Girl Power.
